In 2024, the only 4-H animal virtual contest or event at the Lancaster County Super Fair is the Dog Virtual Trivia contest, held before fair.
Dog Virtual Trivia
The 2024 Lancaster County 4-H Dog Virtual Trivia Contest is an opportunity for youth to test their knowledge of dog science and skills in working with dogs — as well as expand their knowledge. The contest will be available online Wednesday, May 8, Noon–Wednesday, May 15, 11:59 p.m. Preregistration is not required. This contest tests youth’s knowledge of dog science and skills in working with dogs while providing an opportunity to expand their knowledge in this area. Contest is open to 4-H’ers ages 8–18 — need not be enrolled in a specific project and do not need a dog.
The contest consists of questions including, but not limited to, breed identification, dog body language, parasites and nutrition/feed (age/stage). This year’s contest focuses on Sporting, Foundation Stock Service and Miscellaneous Class dog breeds (that start with letters R–W).
This is a Lancaster County Super Fair contest held before the fair and premiums must be picked up Monday, Aug. 5, 7–11 a.m. at the Sandhills Global Event Center – Ag Society Hall (formerly Lincoln Room).
