Designed for Lancaster County 4-H members who plan to attend any institution of higher learning.
Each year, Lincoln Center Kiwanis awards one $1,000 scholarship for a graduating senior enrolled in the Lancaster County 4-H program.
Basis of selection:
- 40% — 4‑H projects and/or program
- 25% — Scholastic standing
- 25% — Activity involvement
- 10% — Financial need
Please include one transcript of your high school grades showing grade point average at the time of application and three letters of recommendation (work, school or community).
Recipients will be announced at Lancaster County 4‑H Achievement Celebration (usually held in February).
Conditions of acceptance: Seniors must plan to enroll in post-secondary education immediately following graduation from high school. Prior to the beginning of the first semester/quarter of their admission and enrollment for classes, students must email the name and location of their post-secondary institution to lancaster4H@unl.edu. Enrollment will be verified, and the scholarship will be awarded directly to the bursar’s office of the post-secondary institution for the beginning of first semester/quarter.
