Rachel Wells is receiving Lancaster County 4‑H’s October “Heart of 4‑H Award” in recognition of outstanding volunteer service. She has been a volunteer instructor at 4‑H Clover College for several years, teaching workshops such as Outdoor Planters & Pavers and Mosaic Seed Art. She has also been a judge in fiber arts and home design at the Lancaster County Super Fair for nearly 5 years. In the summer of 2019, Rachel was a Lancaster County 4‑H intern.
“I’ve enjoyed seeing youth’s creativity,” said Rachel. “I enjoy volunteering with 4‑H because it allows me to support youth as they learn and grow, see the fun projects they’ve created and help them reflect on how their work was done and what they want to do in the future — all while contributing to a program that strengthens our community.”
