Becky has been a 4-H volunteer for 10 years as leader for Rock Creek Kids 4-H club.

"I like being a 4-H volunteer because I enjoy being with young people and getting to know them and their families," says Becky. "I enjoy seeing them develop skills and character traits they will have their entire lives. I believe it is important that 4-H'ers have opportunities to volunteer. This is stated in the 4-H pledge, 'We pledge ourselves to better living for our club, community, country and world.' Our club picks up two miles of road litter every spring. We also participate in the Kiwanis Karnival and work a shift at the 4-H Corner Stop snack booth at the Lancaster County Fair. The past three years, we have spent a Saturday afternoon at Lancaster Manor playing bingo with the residents."
