Extension Educator Ingrid Lindal will present a Babysitting Training open to all youth ages 10–15. These day-long workshops focus on teaching students the necessary skills to be successful babysitters. The workshop covers things like safety, changing a diaper and what it's like to spend time with young children.
Participants will:
• Learn child development.
• Learn how to identify common hazards in the home.
• Learn about CPR and first aid.
• Make a toy for a child.
• Make and enjoy a healthy snack.
• Create a business card for their babysitting business.
• Receive a babysitter's workbook.
