October 2024
Dear 4-H Organizational Leaders and Independent Members:
October signals the beginning of a new 4-H project year. It is time to reorganize your 4-H club with new officers and projects. Now is a good time to recruit parents and friends of 4-H as project and activity leaders. You are encouraged to involve as many adults as you need in leadership roles to meet the goals of your club.
The following items are enclosed in this packet:
- Nebraska 4-H Re-Enrollment Sheet (PDF)
- Fall Club Enrollment postcard (clubs only)
- Club Member Roster (clubs only) – Rosters from 2023–2024 year. Members need to re-enroll for 2024–2025.
- Club Treasurer’s and Inventory Report (clubs only) (PDF)
- 2024–2025 4-H Project List (PDF)
- 4-H Award & Scholarship Information (PDF)
- Community Service Award Record Form (PDF)
- Nebraska 4-H Club of Excellence Summary Form (clubs only) (PDF)
ALL 4-H MEMBERS AND LEADERS MUST RE-ENROLL FOR THE 2024–2025 4-H YEAR by going online to https://4honline.com. ALL 4-H VOLUNTEERS MUST BE RESCREENED. See the enclosed bright green sheet “It’s Time For Members and Leaders to Re-Enroll in 4-H” and “All 4-H Volunteers Must be Rescreened” for more information.
Club Treasurer’s Report — Please complete and return the enclosed Club Treasurer’s and Inventory Report form, filling out both sides, by January 3, even if your club does not have a bank account. If your club holds money, it must have a bank account. Lancaster Extension is required to obtain your Treasurer’s and Inventory Report for your club’s permanent file and to complete the required yearly filings with the IRS. Contact the 4-H staff for more information at 402-441-7180 or lancaster4H@unl.edu.
