Tony Isabell is receiving the Lancaster County 4-H August “Heart of 4-H Award.” He has volunteered with 4-H shooting sports for 15 years and is a certified shotgun instructor. Tony is head coach of the Raymond Central Youth Trap Club and he helps at the annual 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships in Grand Island. He previously volunteered with the North Star Trap club. The Raymond Central Youth Trap Club participates in Eastern Cornhusker Trapshooting Conference shoots and various 4‑H competitions. The club focuses on trap shooting, but some members also participate in other shooting sports disciplines and a variety of other 4-H projects, like showing animals.
“I enjoy watching the kids grow and develop their personalities over the years,” he says. “It is rewarding to see them transition from being shy to becoming confident young adults who recognize their own strengths.”
