Lancaster County 4-H presents a Heart of 4-H Award to a Lancaster County 4-H volunteer each month in recognition of outstanding volunteer service. The purpose of this award is to recognize volunteers who are, indeed, the heart of 4-H.

Mindi Clarke is receiving the Lancaster County 4-H July “Heart of 4-H Award” in recognition of outstanding volunteer service. She has volunteered with the horse program for 15 years in a variety of roles:
• Organizational and horse project leader for the Mighty Lopers club.
• At the Lancaster County Super Fair, she has helped bring livestock for the Roping/Working Ranch Show and helped design trail patterns.
• Former 4-H judge.
Mindi says, “I really enjoy the kids, sharing my horses with kids who may not otherwise have a chance to learn about horses or have show/competition experiences. I love seeing the smiles on their faces and helping build their confidence.”
