Meet the staff from UNL Extension in Lancaster County who are working with acreage and production agriculture programs.
Tom Dorn has retired from UNL Extension in Lancaster County. During this interim period, our colleagues in the UNL Extension system have offered to assist our local clientele. Please contact us at 402-441-7180 so we can put you in touch with the right person to help with your questions/concerns.
In addition to her horticulture responsibilities, Sarah works in the area of Urban Agriculture. Her NEBLINE articles include topics on water quality/quantity, acreages landscaping, shelterbelts, ATV safety and much more. Sarah is also active on the UNL Acreage Team.
Dave provides the technical expertise in the Biosolids Land Application Program. He utilizes GIS/GPS and soil testing to ensure safe application to farm fields. In the last 22 years, more than 663,000 tons of biosolids have been recycled and applied to crop fields, rather than being landfilled. This program has saved more than $6.6 million for landfill users and valuable space in the Bluff Road landfill.

Karen primarily supports the Agriculture & Acreages, and Pest Management program areas. She is also responsible for Lancaster Extension Education Center registrations.
