Meet the staff from UNL Extension in Lancaster County who are working with acreage and production agriculture programs.
Tom works in the areas of production agriculture and acreages. In addition to his one-on-one work with local clientele, Tom coordinates Crop Protection Clinics and Pesticide Applicator Trainings. He also works with the Pesticide Container Recycling Program in Lancaster County.
In addition to her horticulture responsibilities, Sarah works in the area of Urban Agriculture. Her NEBLINE articles include topics on water quality/quantity, acreages landscaping, shelterbelts, ATV safety and much more. Sarah is also active on the UNL Acreage Team.
Barb is primarily responsible for administration of the Biosolids Land Application Program. The City of Lincoln contracts with UNL Extension in Lancaster County to coordinate distribution and application of biosolids to agricultural cropland.
Dave provides the technical expertise in the Biosolids Land Application Program. He utilizes GIS/GPS and soil testing to ensure safe application to farm fields. Since 1992, the program has saved more than $3.6 million in landfill tipping fees with more than 360,000 tons of biosolids safely applied to farmland.

Karen primarily supports the Agriculture & Acreages, and Pest Management program areas. She is also responsible for Lancaster Extension Education Center registrations.
In addition to her duties as receptionist, Deanna supports the Horticulture and Urban Agriculture program areas.
