Wash & Dry Herbs in a Salad Spinner


Adding fresh herbs to foods for extra flavor and nutrition is easy. Washing and drying them can take more time. Make quick work of cleaning herbs by using a salad spinner. Here's how ...

STEP ONE:

  1. Leave the strainer basket in the salad spinner bowl and add your herbs.
  2. Add enough water to cover the herbs.
  3. Swish the herbs around in the water to remove any dirt.

STEP TWO:

  1. Remove the strainer from the salad spinner bowl and drain off the water.
  2. Rinse the bowl with clean water.
  3. Place the strainer with herbs back into the bowl and repeat steps ONE and TWO, at least two or three more times.

STEP THREE:

  1. After washing/draining the herbs two or more times, return the strainer with the herbs to the salad spinner bowl.
  2. Place the top on the spinner and spin the herbs dry.

TIP: A mini salad/herb spinner is the most convenient size for cleaning and drying small amounts of herbs.
