Beardtongue is one of 12 wildflowers suggested for Nebraska gardens by Nebraska Statewide Arboretum Assistant Director for Horticulture Programs, Bob Henrickson.

Wild flowers and native plants can be unique and interesting additions to the home landscape. Wildflowers are flowering herbaceous plants (forbs) that grow with little or no human assistance. They can be native or introduced.
