DID
YOU GUESS IT??
A Spotted Bird Grasshopper
The spotted bird grasshopper, is a large,
green or yellowish-brown grasshopper, with a pale yellow band
extending from the head to the wing tips, and light yellow spots in
the neck region. The adult females are larger than the males,
generally growing to a length of almost 2 1/2 inches, while the males
tend to be approximately 1 3/4 inches in length.
The Spotted Bird Grasshopper isn't abundant enough to worry about control.
It is an interesting curiosity in late summer/fall when the adults make an appearance.
