Nebraska Grapes

If asked about wine, you may not think of Nebraska as a hot spot for grapes and wine production.

Eleven years ago, there were no wineries in Nebraska. Only ten acres were planted for commercial grape production.

Today there are 13 bonded wineries in Nebraska with more wineries planned. There are over 400 acres planted for commercial grapes.

UNL specialists support this growing industry with research and educational programs.
