Sports 4-H club New at this year's Kids Discovery Zone
was a public Air Rifle 4-H Shooting Trailer presented
by the Lancaster County Shooting Sports 4-H club. Certified
instructors assisted youth at the shooting range.

Corner Stop -- a fundraiser for 4-H Council The
4-H food booth at the county fair, known as the 4-H
Corner Stop, is Lancaster County 4-H Council’s primary
fundraiser. New this year was Cotton Clover Candy!

presented a potato bar and refreshments on Thursday,
at the same time as the 4-H Table Setting Contest.

Tank -- presented by Rabbits 'R' Us 4-H Club The
Rabbits 'R' Us 4-H Club presented a dunk tank to raise
funds for landscaping at the Lancaster Event Center.

Painting -- presented by Citizenship Washington
Focus and the Fair Board Members of the 2008 4-H Citizenship
Washington Focus (CWF) group presented free face painting
on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Sponsored
by the Lancaster County Fair Board. For more information

Fair
Fun Day -- presented by University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Extension in Lancaster County and the Fair Board Each
year, child care groups with youth kindergarten through
4th grade are invited to participate in Fair Fun Day.
Guided tours include hands-on activities, demonstrations,
displays and animals. Teen youth volunteers (including
many members of 4-H Teen Council) serve as tour guides.

Exhibitors
Breakfast -- for all exhibitors, including 4-H youth
Countryside Energy, Nebraska Tire, Norris FFA Alumni
and Shepherd of the Hills Church presents a free exhibitors
breakfast each year. This year, they added a second
exhibitors breakfast. Norm Nicholson of Countryside
Energy said, “We just feel we want to support the
4-H and FFA youth in every way we can. By adding a second
day, we hope to involve more youth. Every year, the
breakfast just gets bigger and bigger."
