Style Revue Procedures and Information
Wednesday,
July 28, 2004
Exhibit Hall (farthest south building), east entrance at the
Lancaster Event Center, 84th & Havelock, Lincoln, Nebraska
(1) All 4-H members must be registered for the Style Revue by Monday, July 9, 2004. Registration includes:
- Call the extension office to sign up for modeling.
- Send in the completed narration sheet. (see Style Revue Narration Sheet - this is in a "printable" .pdf format. You will need free Adobe Acrobat to access.) For help, print off sample of Style Revue Narrations.
(2) The narrations will be read as the 4-H member is modeling and being judged.
(3) A letter will be sent to registered participants. Registration is from 8-8:30 a.m.
(4) The evening of the Public Style Revue, the 4-H members will model in their respective clothing areas. Rooms will be marked with respective clothing areas.
(5) Ribbons will be handed out at the Public Style Revue.
(6) Any 4-H member who is 10 years old by January 1, 2004 and is in Clothing 2, Sewing for You (formerly Challenging Patterns/Challenging Fabrics), Tailoring, Decorate Your Duds or Shopping In Style is eligible for State Style Revue. The top models will be chosen including alternates.
(7) Please make sure that when you enter your garment(s) at the fair for construction judging, that you clearly mark the entry tag with the designation for style revue.
(8) The public revue is Wednesday, August 4 at 7 p.m. Please feel free to invite parents, relatives and friends. Event will be at the Exhibit Hall (farthest south building), east entrance, at the Lancaster Event Center, 84th & Havelock, Lincoln, Nebraska.
(9) Sewing for Fun Participants: will not be judged on judging day, however, they are encouraged to attend. They will learn tips and proper styling techniques. Sewing for Fun participants need to sign up and complete the Style Revue narration. They will receive participation ribbons at the public Style Revue.
